The White Summer Dress
There is nothing more chic to wear during summer than a white dress. During summer my love for white dresses (and white clothing in general) tends to go out of control! But nothing feels better than to walk around in a flowing, frothy white confection of a dress, leaving me feeling light and pretty.
This one is wonderful for summer. I love the drop-waist style- it's like a piece of Daisy Buchanan perfection (sometimes your inner 1940s self just needs to come out) and I LOVE the checked pattern on the dress- it really adds something special. (For anyone interested in buying- it is lined so no worrying about it being see-through!) I paired it with gold gladiator-style sandals, my bucket bag and this rancher hat that I am obsessed with! Perfect for those days when you haven't gotten your highlights done in a while and want to cover it up! Ha.
About the jewelry- so if you consistently read my blog you'll have probably noticed that I don't wear a lot of really bold jewelry. In fact, when it comes to jewelry my style tends to lean towards the most delicate, simplistic pieces I can find. So, that leads to me wearing a lot more simple pendant necklaces instead of bold statement pieces and thin gold bangles and rings instead of cocktail rings. I like the idea of making a statement with delicate pieces as I don't like the jewelry to overwhelm the outfit, but instead enhance it. I found these earrings which I am completely obsessed with…I know you can barely tell I'm wearing them in the pictures but hey they are just perfect for me!
