Playing Dress-Up

"Playing dress up starts at age five and never truly ends."

I love dressing up. Every since I was a kid, I would put on anything dressy I could find, including my mother's wedding dress. I would draw designs of big, huge dresses, because they were the most special. Now, I still love to dress up, as the inspirations around me are endless and I love to work them into my outfits. The holiday season is one of the best times of the year to really get dressed up in something that you wouldn't otherwise put on for a party- so whether it's a sparkling dress, an intensely cozy cashmere sweater, or a really fabulous skirt, be daring and wear it!

This white tulle skirt I picked up at Anthropologie a few years ago remains to be one of my favorites. I paired it with a go-to black and white striped tee, my any-occasion black pumps, and some delicate gold jewelry for a bit of extra glam.

It's been a week of announcements on Joie Girl this week. I'm very excited to announce that I am now a StyleList Contributor! Head over to their website to see my Contributor page
