Springtime Inspiration

Long before the days of Pinterest, I was the girl clipping away at her Teen Vogues and making collages for fun. I’d employ my mother’s seemingly endless collection of scrapbooking supplies, scavenging plastic bins for pretty paper and glue sticks and scissors, and I’d spend my day lost in my own little world of sparkly dresses, inspiring quotes, perfume adds and makeup trends. Fast forward 20 years and a degree in magazine journalism, and not much as changed, sans glue sticks. Though I kind of miss the hands-on aspect, I still love the art of pulling together some favorite images. I certainly expect that some people might think this a pointless exercise, but as my tastes have evolved and narrowed, I’ve found that creating a little inspiration board to inspire future purchases or design projects has made for an extremely useful and fulfilling pastime.
