Back to Basics: Pretty Neutrals

Even though fall fashion is typically saturated by a dark and moody color palette, I still love wearing basics in tones like ivory, white, and beige throughout the fall season. A neutral, monochromatic look is such a simple way to look chic and pulled together, especially cold weather.

Neutral basics are also the most versatile: pieces that can be dressed up or down are what I look to add to my wardrobe the most often. This grey striped set (top, pants) from Vince could be dressed up with wedges or heels and a jacket as easily as it could be dressed down with a cozy cardigan for a day of lounging at home.

Speaking of basics, a fall wardrobe isn’t complete without a white blouse. It’s a great addition to transitioning your wardrobe. I love this beige and white striped button down pair with jeans or white pants. And this top with embroidery on the sleeves is the perfect top to add a pretty touch to a casual fall look.

Staples like a white dress are just as popular for fall as they are for spring and summer, and in my opinion, one of the chicest items you can add to your wardrobe. I love this dress featuring puffed sleeves, which I’d pair with a wrap and ankle boots for fall. I also love this modern sheath style dress paired with a chic pair of slides for day or night.

For a night out, I love this silk cross halter top. It’s the ultimate classic piece - pair it with anything, although I love the idea of matching it to a pair of silk wide leg pants for a fun, glamorous look.

Accessories can’t be forgotten about: This necklace is gorgeous and it’s simple enough to wear everyday. I love these shoes- they are so stunning on, and are sure to catch everyone’s eye. And this beautiful white bag from Bottega Veneta is a splurge. But the style is so versatile and would be a lasting addition to any closet.
