My Favorite Beauty Products
I've been so excited to write this post for quite a while now! I LOVE beauty products and experimenting with new brands, but of course I also have my tried and true favorites. And while I plan to share a video tutorial at some point (I've never done one before so I'm still trying to figure that out!) I thought I would go ahead and share my favorite makeup products in a post today!
Face Products
Favorite Primer- Marc Jacobs Coconut Primer. I've used this for a few years and I absolutely love it! It makes your skin super smooth and provides a great base for foundation.
Favorite Foundation- Marc Jacobs Re(Marc)able Full Cover Foundation Concentrate- this stuff is incredible. I've never used a foundation I've loved more. It's super buildable and you can make it exactly the amount of coverage you want. It never feels heavy, in fact I don't feel like I'm wearing anything at all!
Favorite Concealer- Nars Radient Creamy Concealer. I love the texture of this and its great for brightening underneath the eyes!
Pencil Concealor- Bobbi Brown Retouching Face Pencil. This works really great for combatting under eye circles. I like to warm it with the tips of my fingers and touch right on the spots that are dark or red, then go over them with the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer to brighten.
Favorite Blush- Chanel in Rose Bronze. It's a universally flattering shade and the perfect warm pink for summer.
Favorite Bronzer- I am still using Bare Minerals Warmth I got probably 10 years ago (I know thats gross but impressive that it's lasted that long. I'll probably never use anything else!
Favorite Highlighter- Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Highlighter - this is by far the best highlighter I've used. I don't really like using liquid highlights because I don't like how the set over powder blush, etc. This one does an incredible job at highlighting and looks natural on your skin.
Eye Products
Eye Primer - Marc Jacobs - it's particularly great for keeping your eyeshadow from creasing, which tends to be my biggest issue. I don't wear a ton of eye makeup during the day, but I'll use it for special events or date nights.
Nude Shimmer Eyeshadow- I swear by Bare Minerals Nude Beach. I actually read about it on Emily Maynard's blog and I've been obsessed ever since. It's the prettiest pink champagne shade.
Medium Eyeshadow - MAC Wedge. This is a pretty cool-toned brown shade that I use in my crease to break up the lighter colored shadow. It's a great neutral shade.
Dark Eyeshadow - MAC Print (grayish charcoal shade). I love this shade because you can really layer it- so you can wear it lightly during the day or really build it up at night. You get a lot of color payoff with this one!
Eyeliner- Marc Jacobs Fineliner- I usually like to use a liquid liner on my top lash, but if I want to go for a more natural look I'll use this and line my water line and try to get in between my lashes as much as possible. I use Blacquer which is a dark raspberry shade and really makes your eyes pop!
Liquid Liner- Maybelline Lash Stiletto Liquid Liner. By far this is my favorite liner because it's so easy to use! I start in the middle of my lash line and draw outward, then starting in the corner I draw a thinner line to meet in the middle.
Mascara - Marc Jacobs Velvet Noir Mascara- it's super lengthening and volumizing. You can compare it to the Diorshow with how much volume you get, but I like that this brush is curved as it makes it easier to get the outer corners of the eye.
Eyebrow Pencil - Tom Ford - probably my favorite I've ever used! The spool is great for brushing through brows and the angled liner works amazing for filling in light spots in your brows. Plus it comes with a refill for whenever you run out!
Lip Products
Lip Treatment - My lips tend to lean toward the dry side, and this Chanel balm is a life saver! It's like nothing I've ever used before. I'll lay it on thick before I go to bed and wake up with super moisturized, conditioned lips. I also love using Cere Ve Healing Ointment (available at drugstores) to combat any dry skin.
Lip Liner 93 Beige Innocent- This is a nude liner that will match whatever your natural lip color is so you can really use it with any color lipstick. I know lip liners can be a little old fashioned, but this one does a great job of keeping lipstick in place!
Nude Lipstick - Tom Ford Paper Doll is the prettiest nude shade I've found. It still has a touch of pink to it and I think it's flattering on lots of skin tones!
Pink Lipstick- Tom Ford Marissa. I feel like I've been searching for the perfect pink lipstick forever and finally found this one. It's the perfect everyday pink shade.
Fresh Lip Treatment - I've used a few different shades here and I love them all! Overall it's a great moisturizer for the lips while also adding some color.
I would love to hear if you've used any of the above products or whatever beauty questions you may have! If there's another beauty topic you want to read about, feel free to let me know!
