10 Dreamy Places I Want to Travel to in My Thirties

There’s something about this season of life—your thirties—where wanderlust starts to feel a little more intentional. You’re not just looking for a good time or the cheapest flight; you’re craving places that inspire, restore, and expand you. Destinations that feel like a love letter to beauty, culture, and presence.

Here are ten places at the top of my travel wish list for this decade—each one chosen with heart and curiosity.

1. France: Paris & the South
A country that feels like multiple trips in one. I dream of early mornings in Paris, where café windows fog up with the steam of strong coffee and baguettes are a religion. Then heading south—through lavender fields, seaside towns, and slow, sun-drenched days filled with rosé, fresh market finds, and antique treasure hunts.

2. Switzerland
For the alpine air, turquoise lakes, and mountain trains. Switzerland feels like nature’s version of luxury—clean, quiet, and breathtaking. I’d love to hike through Lauterbrunnen Valley, stay in a charming chalet, and indulge in fondue with views of the Matterhorn.

3. Japan
From the tranquil gardens of Kyoto to the neon-lit buzz of Tokyo, Japan is at the top of my list for its ability to balance serenity and modernity. I want to experience cherry blossom season, soak in an onsen, and taste the kind of sushi that ruins all others.

4. London & The Cotswolds
Give me both: the city and the countryside. London for its history, theater, and energy; the Cotswolds for stone cottages, cozy pubs, and countryside walks. Ideally with a train ride and a weekend bag packed with books, wellies, and cashmere.

5. Puglia, Italy
Less touristy than Tuscany, more rugged than the Amalfi Coast—Puglia is all olive trees, whitewashed towns, and seaside charm. I picture slow mornings with espresso, afternoons swimming in the Adriatic, and dinners under string lights.

6. Mallorca, Spain
The perfect mix of coastal relaxation and cultural charm. I’d love to rent a small finca, explore Palma’s markets, and take day trips to quiet coves and hillside villages. Mallorca feels like a place to unplug and reset.

7. Greece
Blue and white everything. Whether it’s Santorini’s iconic sunsets or the quieter magic of Milos or Paros, I want to get lost in the rhythm of island life—sun-warmed stone, salty swims, and dinners that stretch into the night.

8. Copenhagen, Denmark
Clean design, cozy vibes, and bike rides everywhere. Copenhagen seems like the perfect city to wander through—past colorful buildings and minimalist boutiques. Plus, I’d love to experience a real Danish hygge moment.

9. Morocco
A sensory overload in the best way—colorful souks, tiled riads, and the call to prayer echoing at sunset. From the winding alleys of Marrakech to the calm of the Sahara desert, Morocco is high on my list for its depth, texture, and storytelling.

10. Buenos Aires, Argentina
Elegant yet soulful, Buenos Aires feels like Europe meets Latin America. I want to dance through its leafy boulevards, explore its historic neighborhoods, and experience a city where art, food, and passion are woven into everyday life.

I want this next chapter of travel to be more than just a checklist—it’s about soaking in the beauty, connecting with new ways of life, and gathering stories that shape the person I’m becoming.

Where are you dreaming of next?
