What’s Inspiring Me Lately
Lately, I’ve been drawn to spaces and objects that feel storied—pieces that carry a sense of time, romance, and quiet confidence. This collage captures what’s been living rent-free in my mind: a balance of ornament and restraint, softness and structure, old-world beauty with modern intention.
Ornate frames and mirrors are having a moment for me. Not in a maximal way, but as punctuation—something gilded and soulful against calm walls. I love how they ground a space with history while reflecting light and life back into the room. There’s a generosity to them that feels welcoming, not precious.
Metallics, too, are inspiring me when they’re softened and worn. Think brushed brass, antique gold, bronze that’s been handled and loved. The pleated shimmer of a skirt translates beautifully to interiors—movement, texture, a subtle glow that catches the eye without shouting.
I’m also craving textural contrast: carved stone against plaster, veined marble beside patinated metal, delicate drapery offset by iron and wood. The checkerboard floor and sculptural stool speak to this—graphic but grounded, elegant yet practical.
There’s a strong pull toward romantic architecture and lived-in luxury. Canopied beds, layered linens, fireplaces with honest wear. These are spaces meant to be used, not just admired. Nothing overly styled—just thoughtful, collected, and deeply personal.
At the heart of it all is warmth and heritage. Design that nods to the past while feeling relevant now. Rooms that tell a story, invite you to linger, and get better with time.
If there’s a common thread here, it’s this: beauty with soul. And that’s what I’m chasing lately—interiors that feel timeless, intentional, and quietly indulgent.
