Earth Tones

Although fall is such a fun and busy season for so many of us, I am still craving the slow pace of summer. Early Fridays from work, long weekends, and schedule-free mornings seem to have evaporated overnight, as work becomes busier and busier. As a person who needs to quietly “fill their cup” and re-charge, I’m determined to find a moment each day to slow down, and feel calm and still. It’s also why I love the idea of “earth tones” each fall - they feel more grounded, quieter, and natural than the typical reds and oranges you see each year. This year I’m most inspired by shades of cinnamon, moss, and beige for their cozy, homey appeal, so I’ve rounded up a few new finds that I’d love to incorporate into my home and wardrobe this season.

A great fall dress is an essential for any closet - this dress from Vince has a deep navy base with white lilacs printed all over- a dreamy design that could be worn to every event from weddings, to dinners out with friends, or even to Thanksgiving. And new season, new bag, right? This chestnut-colored rendition of this classic Chloe style is everything I love for fall wrapped up in one pretty package - and so completely versatile.

Pillows in deep earth tones add a little bit of muted color to a neutral room - I love the idea of this sage one and this olive one on our caramel colored sectional. This frayed-edge throw is another earthy addition to cozy up a living room, and this braided basket is a beautiful storage option for extra throws and pillows you want to keep on hand! I love the design of this table lamp - it’s unique but classic, and is a warm and bright additional to any space.

I typically spend more of my time in the kitchen during fall than I do in the summer, so we can’t forget about that space- this stoneware pitcher and this woven planter are fun fall additions to any kitchen. And this olive handled vase might just be one of my favorite finds - how beautiful would it be on the kitchen counter, filled with pink dahlias? Such a dreamy addition.
