Club Monaco Trench Coat, Equipment Blouse, Citizens of Humanity Jeans, Chloe Flats
As I started my new job, I've been searching for the perfect spring jacket- something versatile that I could wear over work clothes, but also wear with jeans. Enter: the trench coat. I've long thought about investing in one and there's no time like the present- this chic staple is making a big comeback. New materials are being used from leather to lace and from suede to sheer. What was once a must have for the J.Crew set is now the ultimate cool -girl piece to throw over your outfit on the way out the door. All that's required from you? Sit back, relax, and look casually yet perfectly pulled together every single day.
A simple top and jeans is one of my go to looks when I want to look put together but feel comfortable. And y'all, I cannot say enough good things about these jeans. The second I tried them on I knew I couldn't live without them. Some may call them mom jeans, I may on occasion call them my jeans I can eat in (#hellohighrise), but in any situation they are my go-to. I wear them as often as is socially acceptable. The lighter wash feels so fresh and modern, the rise is perfect and the detail on the hem adds a special touch.
These flats have also become an essential for me this year. Call me crazy, but aren't heels more comfortable than flats? More often than not I opt for a heel, not because I'm trying to be dressed up but simply because they are more comfortable. So was my mentality until I came across these perfect scalloped flats. No breaking in, back pain, blisters or bleeding (looking at you J.Crew). Now I take these shoes with me almost everywhere. They are my designated grocery stop after work, airport security line, all-around wear-where I need to shoes.
