French Apple Tart

French apple tart anyone? (Say oui!)

I would have never guessed that at the age of 22 I would be making this much pie. And tart(s). However, as it's become one of my favorite desserts, I find myself making them more and more often. I used to always use store-bought pie crust, but since I came across the perfect recipe the pies come out so much better (and I enjoy making them more too!) I grew up thinking that making pie crust was a hard, long process that was difficult to execute. Secret: it's not that hard. This French Apple Tart (an adaption of Ina Garten's recipe) is so simple to make, and one of my new favorites. The difference between this tart and an apple pie is that the tart has a lighter yet buttery flavor, whereas an apple pie is more sweet. It's the perfect addition to a spring brunch or dessert, as it actually tastes better when it's made a day in advance. Recipe below.
