The $10 DIY that Transformed my Kitchen

Today I am sharing a fun and super affordable DIY for those of you with Kitchen Aid Appliances! When we originally bought our kitchen appliances, we loved the design completely except for one small detail: the little red medallions that adorned each and every appliance handle. Last spring, when we renovated our kitchen, I was searching for a solution that would blend the medallions more seamlessly with the new design, which involved brass cabinet hardware. I found you can purchase brass medallions from Kitchen Aid, but the $83 price tag (times number of appliances) was much higher than I expected. My solution? We removed the current medallions, primed and spray painted them, and re-installed them after letting them dry for a day. The price? Just about $10 for both the primer and paint. It’s one of the easiest, fastest and most affordable DIYs I’ve done, and the results are exactly what I was hoping for.
